1981
One of the club members, Richard (Dick) Proctor saw a facility in Medicine Hat that provided safety training for children.  He brought the idea back to his club and in 1983 the concept had become a plan.  In September of 1991, Kiwanis Safety City was officially opened.  The site provides traffic and fire safety training to young children (kindergarten and Grade one).  The facility is fully booked each year and expansion plans are underway for a larger site in 2014-2015.

YWCA Swimming Pool:  When the new YWCA building was planned, we committed to supplying a swimming pool suitable for use by handicapped people.  Our fund raising proceeds for several years went to this project.

Glenrose Hospital:  We provided funding for annual scholarships and contributed to their camping program providing funding to send a group of handicapped childresn to the Watson Lodge in Kananaskis using funds from the Easter Seals Campaign.
